Leviticus Chapter 23

26ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 27"However on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation to you, and you shall afflict yourselves; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to ForeverOne.

28You shall do no kind of work in that same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before ForeverOne your God.

29For whoever it is who shall not deny himself in that same day; shall be cut off from his people.

30Whoever it is who does any kind of work in that same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.

31You shall do no kind of work: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

32It shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, and you shall deny yourselves. In the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you shall keep your Sabbath." 33ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 34"Speak to the children of Israel, and say, 'On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of tents for seven days to ForeverOne.

35On the first day shall be a holy convocation: you shall do no regular work.

36Seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to ForeverOne. On the eighth day shall be a holy convocation to you; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to ForeverOne. It is a solemn assembly; you shall do no regular work.

37"'These are the appointed feasts of ForeverOne, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to ForeverOne, a burnt offering, and a meal offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, each on its own day; 38besides the Sabbaths of ForeverOne, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give to ForeverOne.

39"'So on the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the fruits of the land, you shall keep the feast of ForeverOne seven days: on the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest.

40You shall take on the first day the fruit of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before ForeverOne your God seven days.

41You shall keep it a feast to ForeverOne seven days in the year: it is a statute forever throughout your generations; you shall keep it in the seventh month.

42You shall dwell in booths seven days. All who are native-born in Israel shall dwell in booths, 43that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt. I am ForeverOne your God.'" 44Moses declared to the children of Israel the appointed feasts of ForeverOne.

Isaiah 54--55:5

22 verses

Isaiah Chapter 54

1"Sing, barren, you who didn't bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married," says ForeverOne.

2"Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations; don't spare: lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.

3For you shall spread out on the right hand and on the left; and your seed shall possess the nations, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

4"Don't be afraid; for you shall not be ashamed: neither be confounded; for you shall not be disappointed: for you shall forget the shame of your youth; and the reproach of your widowhood you shall remember no more.

5For your Maker is your husband; ForeverOne of Armies is his name: and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth shall he be called.

6For ForeverOne has called you as a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even a wife of youth, when she is cast off," says your God.

7"For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies will I gather you.

8In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment; but with everlasting loving kindness will I have mercy on you," says ForeverOne your Redeemer.

9"For this is like the waters of Noah to me; for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah shall no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I will not be angry with you, nor rebuke you.

10For the mountains may depart, and the hills be removed; but my loving kindness shall not depart from you, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed," says ForeverOne who has mercy on you.

11"You afflicted, tossed with storms, and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in beautiful colors, and lay your foundations with sapphires.

12I will make your pinnacles of rubies, and your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.

13All your children shall be taught of ForeverOne; and great shall be the peace of your children.

14In righteousness you shall be established: you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not be afraid; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.

15Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whoever shall gather together against you shall fall because of you.

16"Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals, and brings forth a weapon for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

17No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of ForeverOne, and their righteousness which is of me," says ForeverOne.

Isaiah Chapter 55

1"Come, everyone who thirsts, to the waters! Come, he who has no money, buy, and eat! Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which doesn't satisfy? listen diligently to me, and eat you that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

3Turn your ear, and come to me; hear, and your soul shall live: and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

4Behold, I have given him for a witness to the peoples, a leader and commander to the peoples.

5Behold, you shall call a nation that you don't know; and a nation that didn't know you shall run to you, because of ForeverOne your God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he has glorified you."

Section 3

Psalm 35

29 verses

Psalm 35

By David.

1Contend, ForeverOne, with those who contend with me. Fight against those who fight against me.

2Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help.

3Brandish the spear and block those who pursue me. Tell my soul, "I am your salvation." 4Let those who seek after my soul be disappointed and brought to dishonor. Let those who plot my ruin be turned back and confounded.

5Let them be as chaff before the wind, ForeverOne's angel driving them on.

6Let their way be dark and slippery, ForeverOne's angel pursuing them.

7For without cause they have hidden their net in a pit for me. Without cause they have dug a pit for my soul.

8Let destruction come on him unawares. Let his net that he has hidden catch himself. Let him fall into that destruction.

9My soul shall be joyful in ForeverOne. It shall rejoice in his salvation.

10All my bones shall say, "ForeverOne, who is like you, who delivers the poor from him who is too strong for him; yes, the poor and the needy from him who robs him?" 11Unrighteous witnesses rise up. They ask me about things that I don't know about.

12They reward me evil for good, to the bereaving of my soul.

13But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth. I afflicted my soul with fasting. My prayer returned into my own bosom.

14I behaved myself as though it had been my friend or my brother. I bowed down mourning, as one who mourns his mother.

15But in my adversity, they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together. The attackers gathered themselves together against me, and I didn't know it. They tore at me, and didn't cease.

16Like the profane mockers in feasts, they gnashed their teeth at me.

17Lord, how long will you look on? Rescue my soul from their destruction, my precious life from the lions.

18I will give you thanks in the great assembly. I will praise you among many people.

19Don't let those who are my enemies wrongfully rejoice over me; neither let those who hate me without a cause wink their eyes.

20For they don't speak peace, but they devise deceitful words against those who are quiet in the land.

21Yes, they opened their mouth wide against me. They said, "Aha! Aha! Our eye has seen it!" 22You have seen it, ForeverOne. Don't keep silent. Lord, don't be far from me.

23Wake up! Rise up to defend me, my God! My Lord, contend for me!

24Vindicate me, ForeverOne my God, according to your righteousness. Don't let them gloat over me.

25Don't let them say in their heart, "Aha! That's the way we want it!" Don't let them say, "We have swallowed him up!" 26Let them be disappointed and confounded together who rejoice at my calamity. Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify themselves against me.

27Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yes, let them say continually, "ForeverOne be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant!" 28My tongue shall talk about your righteousness and about your praise all day long.

Section 4

Acts 23:22-24:4

18 verses

Acts Chapter 23

22So the commanding officer let the young man go, charging him, "Tell no one that you have revealed these things to me." 23He called to himself two of the centurions, and said, "Prepare two hundred soldiers to go as far as Caesarea, with seventy horsemen, and two hundred men armed with spears, at the third hour of the night." 24He asked them to provide animals, that they might set Paul on one, and bring him safely to Felix the governor.

25He wrote a letter like this: 26"Claudius Lysias to the most excellent governor Felix: Greetings.

27"This man was seized by the Jews, and was about to be killed by them, when I came with the soldiers and rescued him, having learned that he was a Roman.

28Desiring to know the cause why they accused him, I brought him down to their council.

29I found him to be accused about questions of their law, but not to be charged with anything worthy of death or of imprisonment.

30When I was told that the Jews lay in wait for the man, I sent him to you immediately, charging his accusers also to bring their accusations against him before you. Farewell." 31So the soldiers, carrying out their orders, took Paul and brought him by night to Antipatris.

32But on the next day they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the barracks.

33When they came to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they also presented Paul to him.

34When the governor had read it, he asked what province he was from. When he understood that he was from Cilicia, he said, 35"I will hear you fully when your accusers also arrive." He commanded that he be kept in Herod's palace.

Acts Chapter 24

1After five days, the high priest, Ananias, came down with certain elders and an orator, one Tertullus. They informed the governor against Paul.

2When he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, "Seeing that by you we enjoy much peace, and that prosperity is coming to this nation by your foresight, 3we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness.

4But that I don't delay you, I entreat you to bear with us and hear a few words.
