Genesis Chapter 41

³⁷The thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.

³⁸Pharaoh said to his servants, "Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?" ³⁹Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Because God has shown you all of this, there is none so discreet and wise as you.

⁴⁰You shall be over my house, and according to your word will all my people be ruled. Only in the throne I will be greater than you." ⁴¹Pharaoh said to Joseph, "Behold, I have set you over all the land of Egypt." ⁴²Pharaoh took off his signet ring from his hand, and put it on Joseph's hand, and arrayed him in robes of fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck, ⁴³and he made him to ride in the second chariot which he had. They cried before him, "Bow the knee!" He set him over all the land of Egypt.

⁴⁴Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I am Pharaoh, and without you shall no man lift up his hand or his foot in all the land of Egypt." ⁴⁵Pharaoh called Joseph's name Zaphenath-Paneah; and he gave him Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On as a wife. Joseph went out over the land of Egypt.

⁴⁶Joseph was thirty years old when he stood before Pharaoh king of Egypt. Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh, and went throughout all the land of Egypt.

⁴⁷In the seven plenteous years the earth produced abundantly.

⁴⁸He gathered up all the food of the seven years which were in the land of Egypt, and laid up the food in the cities: the food of the field, which was around every city, he laid up in the same.

⁴⁹Joseph laid up grain as the sand of the sea, very much, until he stopped counting, for it was without number.

⁵⁰To Joseph were born two sons before the year of famine came, whom Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera priest of On, bore to him.

⁵¹Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh, "For," he said, "God has made me forget all my toil, and all my father's house." ⁵²The name of the second, he called Ephraim: "For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction." ⁵³The seven years of plenty, that were in the land of Egypt, came to an end.

⁵⁴The seven years of famine began to come, just as Joseph had said. There was famine in all lands, but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

⁵⁵When all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread, and Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, "Go to Joseph. What he says to you, do." ⁵⁶The famine was over all the surface of the earth. Joseph opened all the store houses, and sold to the Egyptians. The famine was severe in the land of Egypt.

⁵⁷All countries came into Egypt, to Joseph, to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all the earth.

1 Samuel Chapter 20

²⁴So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat food.

²⁵The king sat on his seat, as at other times, even on the seat by the wall; and Jonathan stood up, and Abner sat by Saul's side: but David's place was empty.

²⁶Nevertheless Saul didn't say anything that day: for he thought, "Something has happened to him. He is not clean. Surely he is not clean." ²⁷It happened on the next day after the new moon, the second day, that David's place was empty. Saul said to Jonathan his son, "Why doesn't the son of Jesse come to eat, neither yesterday, nor today?" ²⁸Jonathan answered Saul, "David earnestly asked leave of me to go to Bethlehem.

²⁹He said, 'Please let me go, for our family has a sacrifice in the city. My brother has commanded me to be there. Now, if I have found favor in your eyes, please let me go away and see my brothers.' Therefore he has not come to the king's table." ³⁰Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said to him, "You son of a perverse rebellious woman, don't I know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame, and to the shame of your mother's nakedness?

³¹For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, you shall not be established, nor your kingdom. Therefore now send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die!" ³²Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said to him, "Why should he be put to death? What has he done?" ³³Saul cast his spear at him to strike him. By this Jonathan knew that his father was determined to put David to death.

³⁴So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and ate no food the second day of the month; for he was grieved for David, because his father had done him shame.

³⁵It happened in the morning, that Jonathan went out into the field at the time appointed with David, and a little boy with him.

³⁶He said to his boy, "Run, find now the arrows which I shoot." As the boy ran, he shot an arrow beyond him.

³⁷When the boy was come to the place of the arrow which Jonathan had shot, Jonathan cried after the boy, and said, "Isn't the arrow beyond you?" ³⁸Jonathan cried after the boy, "Go fast! Hurry! Don't delay!" Jonathan's boy gathered up the arrows, and came to his master.

³⁹But the boy didn't know anything. Only Jonathan and David knew the matter.

⁴⁰Jonathan gave his weapons to his boy, and said to him, "Go, carry them to the city." ⁴¹As soon as the boy was gone, David arose out of [a place] toward the South, and fell on his face to the ground, and bowed himself three times. They kissed one another, and wept one with another, and David wept the most.

⁴²Jonathan said to David, "Go in peace, because we have both sworn in the name of ForeverOne, saying, 'ForeverOne shall be between me and you, and between my seed and your seed, forever.'" He arose and departed; and Jonathan went into the city.

1 Samuel Chapter 21

¹Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest. Ahimelech came to meet David trembling, and said to him, "Why are you alone, and no man with you?" ²David said to Ahimelech the priest, "The king has commanded me a business, and has said to me, 'Let no man know anything of the business about which I send you, and what I have commanded you; and I have appointed the young men to such and such a place.' ³Now therefore what is under your hand? Give me five loaves of bread in my hand, or whatever there is present." ⁴The priest answered David, and said, "There is no common bread under my hand, but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women." ⁵David answered the priest, and said to him, "Truly, women have been kept from us about these three days. When I came out, the vessels of the young men were holy, though it was but a common journey. How much more then today shall their vessels be holy?" ⁶So the priest gave him holy [bread]; for there was no bread there but the show bread, that was taken from before ForeverOne, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.

2 Chronicles Chapter 18

¹Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honor in abundance; and he joined affinity with Ahab.

²After certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. Ahab killed sheep and cattle for him in abundance, and for the people who were with him, and moved him to go up [with him] to Ramoth Gilead.

³Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, "Will you go with me to Ramoth Gilead?" He answered him, "I am as you are, and my people as your people. We will be with you in the war." ⁴Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, "Please inquire first for the word of ForeverOne." ⁵Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, "Shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?" They said, "Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king." ⁶But Jehoshaphat said, "Isn't there here a prophet of ForeverOne besides, that we may inquire of him?" ⁷The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of ForeverOne; but I hate him, for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil. He is Micaiah the son of Imla." Jehoshaphat said, "Don't let the king say so." ⁸Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, "Get Micaiah the son of Imla quickly." ⁹Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, and they were sitting in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.

¹⁰Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, "Thus says ForeverOne, 'With these you shall push the Syrians, until they are consumed.'" ¹¹All the prophets prophesied so, saying, "Go up to Ramoth Gilead, and prosper; for ForeverOne will deliver it into the hand of the king." ¹²The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, "Behold, the words of the prophets [declare] good to the king with one mouth. Let your word therefore, please be like one of theirs, and speak good." ¹³Micaiah said, "As ForeverOne lives, what my God says, that will I speak." ¹⁴When he had come to the king, the king said to him, "Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear?" He said, "Go up, and prosper. They shall be delivered into your hand." ¹⁵The king said to him, "How many times shall I adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of ForeverOne?" ¹⁶He said, "I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. ForeverOne said, 'These have no master. Let them return every man to his house in peace.'" ¹⁷The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, "Didn't I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?"

Mark Chapter 13

¹As he went out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Teacher, see what kind of stones and what kind of buildings!" ²Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone on another, which will not be thrown down." ³As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately, ⁴"Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?" ⁵Jesus, answering, began to tell them, "Be careful that no one leads you astray.

⁶For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am he!' and will lead many astray.

⁷"When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, don't be troubled. For those must happen, but the end is not yet.

⁸For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.

⁹But watch yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils. You will be beaten in synagogues. You will stand before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them.

¹⁰The Good News must first be preached to all the nations.

¹¹When they lead you away and deliver you up, don't be anxious beforehand, or premeditate what you will say, but say whatever will be given you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.

¹²"Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

¹³You will be hated by all men for my name's sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved.

¹⁴But when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not" (let the reader understand), "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, ¹⁵and let him who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house.

¹⁶Let him who is in the field not return back to take his cloak.

¹⁷But woe to those who are with child and to those who nurse babies in those days!

¹⁸Pray that your flight won't be in the winter.

¹⁹For in those days there will be oppression, such as there has not been the like from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.

²⁰Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.

²¹Then if anyone tells you, 'Look, here is the AnointedOne!' or, 'Look, there!' don't believe it.

²²For there will arise false-christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

²³But you watch. "Behold, I have told you all things beforehand.
